Christmas Sleigh Is Coming: We will be collecting gift items to be delivered to Franklin Community Center beginning on November 26 until December 10. Suggested items include toys, sports equipment, clothing for all ages and gift cards. Monetary donations should be made out to SSUMC with “Christmas Sleigh” in the memo. Thank you for making this a happier Christmas for people in need.
Child Care: Children are always welcome in worship. Child care is provided for your little ones age 0-2 years in the Nursery Room.

Sunday Morning Discussion Group: We will continue “Rebuilding the Foundation, Social Relationships in Ancient Scripture and Contemporary Culture” by John and Walter Brueggemann. Please join us in the Lounge at 10:45am.
Dinner of Support: We will be hosting a dinner of support for those who are mourning the loss of a loved one this time of year. We will share a meal and conversation with one another. Youth Musical Jam Session: Calling all 7th – 12th graders to come out to sing or play their favorite instruments Sunday mornings at 10:15am in the Adkins room. Tell your friends to come join in on the fun.
UMM Lunches: This week we will be meeting Monday at Applebees at noon. We will not be meeting this Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.
Family Advent Night: Sunday, December 3rd from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Begin Advent with your church family. Join us for a potluck supper, a fun reenactment of the Christmas story, and crafts galore!!
Christmas Pageant Signups: A new Christmas pageant starring the children of our church will be included in the 4pm Christmas Eve service. There are speaking and non-speaking roles as well as behind the scenes. Children need to be available for occasional rehearsals during Sunday School and Fellowship Time, dress rehearsal at 4:30 on December 22 and the service. If interested, sign up on the list on Katie Igler’s office door.
Heifer International: will be in Fellowship Hall between services starting December 3rd through December 24th continuing our tradition of raising an Ark during Advent. Anyone interested in raising an Ark, please contacy Jessica Swett 518-232-6200 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Christmas Handbell Concert: Sunday, December 10th at 4:00pm in the Embury cafeteria. Chancel Ringers will perform a concert of Christmas favorites and Rose and Mike Janicke playing violin and guitar arrangements. Bring a friend to this free event and sing along. Open rehearsal on the day before at 4:30pm at Westview Apts (West Ave). All are welcome.

A Victorian Evening of Dickens and Carols: Saturday, December 2nd at 7:00pm. The evening includes a dramatic reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol” with music and other entertainments.
