Please read Psalm 40:1-11 and 1 Corinthians 1:1-9 and use these notes to prepare for Sunday morning worship.

Sermon Focus: New Year, Same Promises: Faithfulness

Key Verse: “I have not hidden your saving help within my heart, I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation…”(Psalm 40:10)

How have you experienced God’s saving help in your life?

If you were to speak of God’s faithfulness, what words
would you use and who needs to hear them?

Key Verse: I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that has been given you in Christ Jesus, for in every way you have been enriched in him, in speech and knowledge of every kind.” (1Corinthians 1:4-5)

How has God’s grace enriched your life, and in what ways
does it influence your speech and knowledge?

The bible is filled with stories of God’s faithfulness.  Over and over, the people go their own way and neglect the ways of God and God’s faithful presence in our lives.  In what ways can the grace-filled and faithful presence of God guide your life in speech and in knowledge?  As you wrestle with these questions, may your heart remember the saving help of God that has made a difference in your life.
