Sermon Focus: A Vision for “One Love”
To Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Embracing everyone through deep meaningful connections to grow closer to God and transform lives
- What does the mission statement above mean to you? How do you think SSUMC lives this out? How can you live it out in your everyday life?
- What key words in the vision statement above speak to you? Where do you see this vision being made real at SSUMC, in the Saratoga Springs community, in your household?
- How do our mission and vision statements exemplify the love that is being expressed in 1 John? What would be different about our world if we lived this love in all places and with all people?
In a world filled with divisions, we as followers of Jesus are called to a better way of being in the world. We are directed by Jesus to love one another in ways that transform lives. The way we connect with one another helps us to grow closer to God. It is in these nurturing relationships we experience the grace and love God longs for in the world. May each of us seek to embrace the stranger among us, so that here at SSUMC all feel at home.
