Please read Ephesians 2:1-10 and use these notes to prepare for Sunday morning worship.

Sermon Focus: Resurrection Today:  Grace

Key Verse: “But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—  and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ” (Ephesians 2: 5-7)

  • What does it mean for you to be saved by grace?
  • What are the immeasurable riches of God’s grace shown towards you?

Key Verse:   For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.” (Ephesians 2:10)

  • Through the power of the resurrection we have been made alive with Christ. How does this influence your way of life?
  • How do we embody the good news of the grace that saves us as we live our lives?

Connection for Today:

Grace is God’s kindness toward us in Christ Jesus, according to Ephesians.  This is the Easter Season- the ongoing celebration of the resurrection and how it is lived out in our lives and in the world. We remember how God’s grace was alive in Jesus and now that grace is alive in us.  It changes things – the knowledge of a grace that covers us empowers us to be resurrected people in the world.
