Renée

Renée Hostetler is a pianist and former Kindermusik educator.  She grew up in College Station, TX (gig ‘em Aggies!), and earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. She received her Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, where she studied with David Burge; she also holds a Performer’s Certificate from Eastman.  Her performance credits include, in addition to numerous recitals at Skidmore College
where she served as staff accompanist for ten years, concerts in the Albany area, New York City, Bryan-College Station (Texas), London, and Luxembourg.

Miss Renée has conducted the SSUMC Children’s Choir (formerly known as the Cherub Choir) since Fall 1998. In addition, she is the accompanist and assistant director of the SSUMC Joyful Hope Choir, she coordinates and performs with the Recorder Consort, she is a founding member of Cantare (a small vocal ensemble providing occasional service music and community concerts), and she is the assistant director of the Chancel Ringers handbell ensemble. When not making music, Renée enjoys getting together with friends, cooking, eating at any number of downtown Saratoga restaurants, and teaching or taking workout classes.
